I have known Mary for over 36 years. She is the most enthusiastic tutor that I have had the pleasure to meet. She is passionate, extremely organised, committed and has a real love of teaching. Before the tutoring began, Mary looked at the various educational documents we had to gain an insight into H’s learning style. From this she was able to individualise her lesson plans. H was a challenge but Mary was able to overcome this using a unique set of skills to engage H and key into his interests, whilst still learning. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mary as a tutor. She is an inspiration and a natural teacher. She is extremely professional, communicative and punctual. She involves the tutee and parents in every lesson.

Mary was an extremely professional, organised and reliable teacher/tutor. She set high goals and had clear expectations. As parents, we could see that A made progress and had something to show for the tuition, i.e. an art portfolio and mock French test results, which was what we wanted. A went on to study successfully at the Colchester Sixth Form College, with Art as one of the main International Baccalaureate subjects. The work with Mary prepared A well for study at Sixth Form level and A enjoyed the tuition.

Can’t thank Mary enough for building my son’s confidence in written and spoken Spanish. There has been a dramatic improvement, moving from a predicted grade of ‘2’ to a ‘5’. Mary is always punctual and well prepared for the sessions. She is also engaging and knowledgeable on her subject.
